My name is Tahir Sheikh and I am a highly experienced Portfolio Manager and Senior Project Manager with over 16 years of Portfolio Management, Agile Project Management & Project Management hands-on experience in the field. I am well-versed in all aspects of project management, with a thorough understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Incremental, Iterative & Waterfall.

I am an independent thinker who can work with minimal supervision, using good judgment to produce a first cut of deliverables while demonstrating autonomy, initiative, accuracy, and precision. I have extensive experience in creating and maintaining reports and metrics across a set of projects, which allows me to stay on top of key performance indicators.

 

I am an excellent communicator, with an innate ability to tailor my message to the audience to ensure effective communication. I am process-orientated, but also able to deal with ambiguity and adapt to workaround processes to ensure the business objectives are effectively met. I am disciplined to ensure tasks and actions are being effectively executed, with timely escalation where delivery dates are at risk.

 

I have experience in a wide range of industries, including but not limited to Information and Cybersecurity, Software Development, Construction, Sales, Marketing, and more. I have completed projects within AWS and have a solid grasp of key business and technology disciplines including Strategy, Governance, Business Analysis, Project Management, QA, Dev Ops, SDLC and Agile methodologies.

 

I am also PMP Designated, which demonstrates my ability to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget. I possess a proven track record of success in delivering projects and have experience in managing project financials including forecasting, managing adjustments to approved budgets, reporting on actuals, and variances to forecast. I am also accountable and proactive in my delivery approach and am able to build effective delivery plans, and proactively identify and manage issues/risks.

In addition, I am a highly driven individual with superb communication skills that can set clear expectations and hold people accountable. I possess solid leadership skills to build, develop, empower, and supervise multi-disciplinary teams. I am also able to work quickly and effectively across large teams to course correct as the need arises.
